Q: What is the difference between Ugandan Shea Butter (Nilotica) and West African Shea Butter (Shea Paradoxa)?

A: There are several differences between the two types of Shea Butter. Ugandan Shea variety is a grade higher, softer, has a milder scent, richer in Olein and has a lower melting point. West African Shea is produced and exported from several countries (Ghana, Togo, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Benin, etc.). Ugandan Shea trees grow around the river nile belt. We source our certified organic and fair-trade Shea Nilotica from a women’s cooperative in Uganda.

Q: When I received my Shea Nilotica, it was softer than the Shea Butter I had before. Is there something wrong with it?

A: No. Your Shea Nilotica is just fine. It simply has a lower melting point that the more common Western version. It melts easily in your hands and absorbs well compared to other Shea Butters.

Q: What is the difference between Shea Oil and Shea Butter?

A: Naturally, Shea butter is higher in Stearic Acid than Shea oil, while their other essential fatty acid percentages are much more similar, both Sheaproducts are good for the skin and offer very similar benefits to the skin. Just like Shea butter, Shea oil moisturizes, heals and softens the skin

Q: Why is my Face Oil (Shea oil) thick?

A: Shea Oil is sensitive to weather conditions. During the cold seasons it will thicken. However, you can run the bottle under running hot water and it will loosen up in minutes.

Q: Should I use Sherabo face oil if l have an oily skin?

Using oion oily skin can actually be beneficial. “For oily skin, if the skin is stripped of natural oils, it will go into overproduction mode and cause more sebum buildup,” So using an oil can help replenish your skin’s natural oils, which can keep oil levels balanced and breakouts at bay.

Q: Will this oil Clog my pores?

Sherabo Organics' face oil is non comedogenic. It lives your skin soft, supple and plump.

Q: Will your products clear problematic skin?

A: Our Moisturizers are Shea butter based. They are rich in Vitamins A, E & F. They give the skin and hair moisture and nourishment. The more nourishment the skin receives, the better it gets. However, keep in mind that the results may vary.
