My STORY

"Sherabo" is a Ugandan word meaning "Gift". Sherabo seeks to share one of Uganda's natural most precious unique gift- Nilotica Butter. I am delighted to share my craft with you my customers.

I am a Ugandan Canadian.  I was born and raised in Uganda. Uganda is known as the Pearl of Africa and is uniquely gifted with amazing organic food, culture and natural resources. Inspired by Nature's simplicity, I consciously take charge of what I eat and what I feed my hair and skin. With a desire to find an excellent moisturizer, I found myself frustrated by skincare products on the market.

A couple of years ago I battled an autoimmune disorder that scarred my skin. This coupled with harsh weather, my skin was so dehydrated and dry. The Pigmentation affected my self esteem. I was not confident to let my arms bare. The dermatologist advised and prescribed a hydrocortisone steroid cream and whitening cream for the scars. I quickly realized I needed to take charge of this situation and opted for alternative options. I started searching for skincare that I could use to nourish my skin. Unfortunately my search didn’t yield much as many products in stores had complicated scientific ingredients and chemicals. This made me question what I was previously putting on my skin and my hair. You too probably have asked yourself the same question. I simply needed a product that I could trust.

Growing up in Uganda, I was familiar with a beautiful Shea butter that grows locally. I started to research about its therapeutic benefits. I crafted skin food moisturizers that my daughter and I use daily. Today my skin’s natural pigment has been restored. The scaring has all faded. I truly believe if you can’t eat it, you should not use it on your skin. I am committed to sharing premium chemical free skin nourishment formulations that are safe for a baby, a senior and everyone in between. Just like food, skin nourishment is not just for the aging skin but all skin. The skin is the largest organ on our bodies. Lets feed it right.
